Silky syrah for savory summer specials. So nicely mid-weight, with a dark, red/black hue, properly black peppered, only a slight bit of aged meat and a black berry/dark cherry/leather melange. Not quite the depth or complexity of a Chave or Gognon, but perfect for drinking . This once again reinforces the broad St Joseph upgrade in the past 15 years, where this once bottom appellation has, like Cornas before it, risen so nicely in quality and reputation.

Totally blow away by this wine - a true Burgundian experience. Lovely Syrah aromatics but the structure was solid - great acidity and tannins zippy- mouth materially good and full across the palate. Outstanding
A beautiful bottle of Syrah, showing meaty, black olive notes stop dark berryish fruit. Tannins are almost fully resolved and everything is in balance. No hurry on this one, but it'll drink well now and over the next 5-10 years.

Garrigue nose with some raw meat. Medium weight. Finish seems a bit disjointed, especially in the acids.

Nice nose. A little shy but showing soft red fruit. On the palate the fruit is gone. Really tough, drying tannins take over.
