  • Picked up as a curio at auction. Fill to top of neck so great cork. Deep orange amber colour. Kind of nothing nose who slowly opened up a bit over time but still just a whiff of something ? cinnamon. Sweet but drying at same time. In remarkable nick for a 48 year old wine, could have passed for a 20 year old. Thickish, somewhat unctious and very smooth. Tasted like a mid to top end mature Sauterne but with the structure that Loire chenin gives. Thuis was a lot of fun to open and taste.
