My last bottle. I was careless and grabbed this instead of the '59 Anjou Blanc of which I have several. No harm, no foul, as this was a spectacular bottle. It paired perfectly with the oyster stew, which had cayenne. The subtle spice and sweetness, acidity and cream worked fabulously together. Medium to deep tawny color. This cuvée has more botrytis than the Anjous Blanc. Honey and lanolin, butterscotch and toffee, spice, preserved lemons. Luscious and elegant.

Lunch Cucinetta 8 February 2019: Deep, brassy gold in colour, an initial nose of waxy furniture polish gives way with air to caramel, chenin, cognac, botrytis and old tokay. This bottle probably a bit past it's prime but still very beautiful. Enjoyed over and hour or two, some time in the ice bucket mid bottle refreshed it.

A private tasting (Rotterdam, NL): Tasted blind. Tight and drying, almonds, peach kernels, not good. Not rated. When in good nick, this wine is an absolute star.

Spectacular wine. Fresh. Dark gold color. So fragrant. Honey, wax, some botrytis but distinctively chenin blanc. Very long. Doesn't quite have the same texture as Yquem, but palate and nose are up there with the very best. Has decades of ageing potential.

Old Wine Offline; 9/26/2014-9/27/2014 (The Room Off the Patio at Ruth's Chris, and My House): Deep yellow-honey color. Very faint quince undertone on the nose. More classic lightly honeyed quince on the palate. Unfortunately this had completely lost its acidity and seemed very flat. Not scored.
