Elegant, creamy and mature. The mousse has faded and the wine glides across the palate. Misses a bit of zip, and could use more flavor penetration – however, it is very easy to enjoy and the brioche and sour apple notes are hunger inducing. Good Champagne – not worth the money as they are far better in my opinion. That said, I will take a glass any day. (91)

Grande Dame-y. Expected sweetness, brioche/toast and light body. Nice acidity balanced this to make it a good match for grilled pizzas, but this is not a great champagne by any stretch.

Chevillon Showdown (Nopa, San Francisco): Fairly pale. Very '96 in its racy acidity, fresh with beautiful surrounding brioche and yeast. A large-scaled but very well balanced wine.

aged very well, very elegant, honey on nose, fine bubble and good acidity, green apple, yeast on plate, tastes like a good aged burgundy white, great

Sweet soft apples and nice streak of unfocused acidity. Overall it was bottle of champagne and a great evening.
