Black with a deep ruby rim. Intense nose of tart blackberry syrup, gingerbread, and cinnamon. Full bodied on the palate with good acidity. This is a big, powerful wine with focus and length.

Consistent with prior notes, this wine is still drinking beautifully. I'm enjoying this from a massive grand cru burg glass and the wine is not showing any obvious flaws. Big but balanced, no heat and plenty of acidity to carry the weight. Fine on its own and an excellent match with baby back ribs slathered in Guiness-black bbq sauce. Once again, BG's mad skills tame the wild and wooly Oz fruit.

Consistent with prior bottles and still drinking great; plenty of sumptous Oz fruit, menthol and licorice with no obnoxious American oak. Very good in its style.

Typically not an aussie "big boy" fan but, given the price, this will do the trick. Fruit foward, menthol, dark berry and brambles. Not well balanced or nuanced but what can you expect for the price. 88 pts on an absolute scale or 90 as a qpr.
