yellow-gold colour, fat, but delicate, ripe fruit, good structure and acidity-balance, complete different from the modern new world type sauvignon, perhaps because the oak maturation?

Intense minerality and green apple are first revealed. Soon after, the fruit becomes a bit richer with ripe apples, orange rind, crushed stone and super high acidity on the finish. This is truly a unique and complex wine that had me moving from Chablis to Alsace to the N Rhone. Surprsingly, this lacked a lot of green or herbal notes typical for the variety. Nonetheless, this is a very compelling wine with its great balance of fruit, acid and minerality. It makes me want to search out more Friuli whites.
