Reduced on opening but blew off after 10 minutes or so. Gold in color. Smelled honey, hazelnut, and vanilla, with those reprising in the taste along with some lemon. Rounded but still refreshing, finishing dry and medium in length.

Opened and let air/warm up for an hour ahead of mild yellow chicken Thai curry. Pale straw color with a bight golden hue. The nose brings ripe orchard fruit and blossoms, including tangerines, oranges, limes, lemon curd, honeydew, and whiffs of petrol. The palate is medium, round, dry, and tight, bringing oranges, nectarines, peaches, pineapple, honey, graham crackers, soda water, and lemon zest into a chalky, extended finish. Still a little drying and compact, this will likely best best 2023-2030. Technical score: 94. Enjoyment score: 92.

This was good first day but second it is outstanding. Needs to be warmer - around 45 - 50 F. Rich and round with white fruit, with a stronger citrus element asserting itself on the finish. Clean and fairly precise. Nothing out of balance. No pesky reduction. Note to self - leave remaining bottles alone a few years.

This wine is special. Soft and luxurious on the palate. Not much on the nose but once it’s in the mouth it doesn’t matter. White tree fruit, bread dough, long finish. Pleasantly surprised by the quality. White burg is always expensive and this was, but worth the price.
