Strikingly light pale garnet color. On the nose, there was almost a maple note, some autumn leaves, and something that was almost salty. Medium intensity and unique! As for fruit, there was a hint of it only if you search.
The palate had tartness but with an earthy matting and cranberry note. It had too much acid for Max, especially given its ultra-dry flavor, but Jessie liked it a lot.
Overall, it was clearly a Pinot Noir, but not a lot like other Pinots we'd had. I'm guessing it was whole cluster. A very interesting wine.

Retail $38. Very light in the glass, almost translucent, with aromas of cranberry, dried cherry, and dusty earth. Delightful on the palate: quite tart with lovely fruit, although reserved, particularly when compared to juicy fruit-driven Pinots from, say, the Russian River Valley. In fact, this is much more reminiscent of a French Pinot than any from the Golden State (California), not from Burgundy but from the Loire Valley (Sancerre). thedrunkencyclist.com

Adelaide trip; 7/26/2018-7/29/2018 (Adelaide and the surrounding environs): Cherry, strawberry and ashy stalks, slight sweet spice, a little alcohol prickle. In the mouth it has juicy acidity, slight stalky, gritty tannins, similar fruit, young. Easy.
