Joseph Drouhin Cellar Visit and Tasting (Day 10, Visit 1) (Beaune): Barrel tasting at Drouhin. Black and red cherry with good weight and firm tanninsin the middle. Good overall, 89-91 point potential. Vero couldn't access a once-used barrel, so we tasted an assemblage of new/neutral here.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. More red vs black fruit with subtle spice. Good length, better weight. Seems already close to reaching a good drinking window, so drink 2022 forward.

La Paulée 2020 Grand Tasting of 2017 Burgundy (Pier 60, New York): Dull medium red. Lots of mint on the nose. Fabulous soil throughout and tart red fruit. Properly austere, dry finish. Overall quite elegant for Clos Vougeot. Give it a good decade of aging.
