This wine was awesome. This was my first vernture into burgundies. It is as light as an American Pinot Noir, but much more fruity and flavorful. Lots of fruits on the nose. Went very well with pork.

Alcohol: 13.0% Acidity: crisp and lively Tannin – soft tannins Price: $25.99 Rating: Personal = 85; Aromas – Moderate; cranberry, cherry, straw, earthy Color –Moderate to light color, Ruby Flavor – Slightly Dry, Light-bodied. Moderate. cranberry, cherry, tea leaf Finish: Moderate to long finish
Notes: Another wine with dinner out so notes a tad sketchy. Old world style burgundy. Earthy scents, surrounded by cranberries and cherries. Simple, but pleasant. Taste followed the nose, subtle fruit with a little herbal tea leaf component to it. Light flavors and light mouth feel made for a simple and enjoyable wine. Although light and lacked complexity (with regards to secondary flavors) it had a noticeable and very well structured presentation. Very delibrate in the approach. However, for the price, hard to recommend and not really looking for more myself..

Pale ruby color. True pinot fruit on the nose with earth and sweet cherry shades. Light body with a penetrating and precise profile. Could use a bit more mid-palate depth to soften the tight structure. That said, this is a delicious and refreshing food wine that is perfect for a summer table. Could use a year or two to integrate as this was better on the second day. (84)
