Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Clear bottle -- and sure enough there's a distinct lightstrike wooliness to the nose here. Stone fruit compote with a tropical papaya feel, bone dry and an interesting minerality. Very thin on the back of the palate with a metallic feel. Not a bad drink but nothing to write home about either. As is typical with this producer's wines, I find myself wondering what this would taste like from the producer's cellar. Probably wonderful, as the one time I tried Leclapart in Reims it was fresh and vibrant. Alas, with this imported bottle in the end the value is atrocious.
