Very light translucent orange pinkish red with a distinct and clear watery edge. The nose is quite distinct with impressions of slightly jammy red fruits, peppery spices, a bit of skunky gaminess like that which I usually associate with Canadian lagers, sandalwood, with an intriguing exotic Asian or Middle-eastern fragrance which I can not adequately delineate much less describe as far as its specifics. The palate is savory but in a good and refreshing way, on the lighter end of the medium-bodied spectrum, and surprisingly well-structured that really packs a punch despite its deceptively light color. The flavors in this easy-drinking Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir is dominated by raspberries, cherries, strawberry jam, peppery spices, exotic woods and essential oils, and a slight earthiness towards the medium zippy finish. A straightforward but interesting and very well-made wine.
Addendum: To my surprise, this wine seems to have finally integrated with all the right pieces in place on the 3rd night and the snunky funkiness has dissipated. It actually turned to be quite enjoyable.

A lovely red fruity nose of cherries, strawberries and raspberries and a hint of oaky spice. The palate was clean, fresh and more red fruit. Although not very complex it was nicely balanced and very easy to drink. It reminded me of a Rully. Available @majesticwine for £19 maybe a few pounds too much, but definitely worth seeking out to #giveanewwineago 87 points

At Culina by the glass. Simple, but a pleasant quaffer to go with our ribeye steak. The nose was very fruit-forward, with sweet cherries and strawberries and a drift of violets and earth. The palate was similar marked with primary fruit - red cherries and strawberries again - and then a bit of spice and more of that floral character. Simple, early drinking and accessible, but nicely balanced with bright acidity and silky tannins giving the palate a little more heft and a bit less of a sweet tone than the nose.
