  • This wine needs a lot of air and time to open up. I suggest double decanting it followed by pulling a vacuum on the bottle with a Vacuvin stopper and some hours of rest. Something like this rewarded us with excellent, but otherwise hidden fruit and complexity. Otherwise this is an enigma--a wine with high critical scores and no substance or complexity.

  • Thanksgiving 2023.
Med red. Dark red fruit. Brooding. Hint of graphite or iodine. Palate is which. Soft ripe tannins although lots of structure and acid.

  • Medium ruby, 12.5% alc., weak varietal character, faint pinot fruit, slight mineral earthy notes, no sediment, somewhat bland, low acidity, OK with mild dishes, faded more second night. recommend drinking it up now.

  • Not overly complex. Some menthol in the nose and a nice and very clear and distinct raspberry in the taste, surely no strawberry!
Nice but no more. Defiant no rebuy.

  • Crimson to pink in thin layers. This bottle offers from the beginning nice cherry notes, with air and time from the opended bottle in addition spicy notes and currants. A decant part showed a better performance, in terms of complexity and elegance, earlier. First it didn't fill out the sommelier burgundy, but later this showed better than the vinum burgundy. The overripe strawberry notes that sometime appears in the cincuenta y cinco is absent here. After some hours in the burgundy grand cru with its size of more than 1000 ccm some white flower notes appeared adding more elegance. All in all an outstanding pinot noir from argentina, maybe with more aging potential than Gutiérrez from the WA predict (-2026, 97 points) or is the lower intensity of flavors in comparison to earlier bottles a first sign of slow decline? 5/13/17/9+. -2028+?
