Darkest Musar I ever remember having. Cedar, sumac, sage(?) and a touch of brett. Went great with curried lentil stew. This could probably age for at least 5 years.

On opening perfumed on the nose, raspberry & blackberry, fig & liquorice. Fresh ripe tannins. Mid to full bodied with warm fruit. Crunchy blackcurrant, raspberry & blackberry on the palate. On it's plateau although no rush to drink up, will age, an ideal accompaniment for the Lamb Tagine.

Second vintage of this, two words remind me of this wine lean and tart, I really don't get anything else from it, not my cup of tea at all, drinkable but for me forgettable, simply a matter of taste.

Musar is Musar. Previously had a glass of this wine (but much older vintage) at a restaurant and loved it. Bought 2 different bottles of Musar including this one, available at such a reasonable price. Even young this wine is delicious. 50% Cinsault, 35% Grenache, 15% CS. Luscious fresh cranberries, cedar, thyme, fig, stone. Very enjoyable!

Chateau Musar Tasting: Tasted out of Magnum Medium red with some bricking at shoulders Violets and mint on the nose. Recognisably Musar spice (cinnamon?) Plums and violets, with a salty savouriness Soft and elegant but quite young
