Dark wine? Light wine? M said cranberry. I liked it a good bit. Later on I got olives and oregano. And acidity seemed to increase. Ok with cheeses, best with olives.

Rich, deep red, almost black. A nose rich in baking spices, cloves, the palette is light, expressive, lusciously full of red berries, and still a lot of youthful notes for a 5 year old wine. A fairly light, short, finish. Will have to pick up some more and see how it develops in bottle for a little longer, enjoyable drinking now but feels like it has more potential.

Similar in style to Rhone blends, but with its own unique character. Lots of red fruit with tart cherries and strawberries with other notes of blood orange, pepper, garrigue, leather, and a little bit of gamey meat. Rich and earthy on the palate. Pomegranate, cherries, plums, damp earth, leather, and mineral notes. A hint of baking spice on the finish. Acidity is a bit unbalanced when just pop and pouring, but settles with some air time. Soft, fine tannins. Well-integrated alcohol. Unique mouth feel on the front palate. Decant for at least an hour. Went well with Lebanese food.

Musar's 2nd wine. 50% Cinsalt, 20% Grenache, 10% CS. Pomegranate, sour red plum, orange peel, fig. Always a wine with unique flavors!
