Community Tasting Notes (3)

  • From Coravin. Finally the oak has integrated here (though is still very present) and travels with the cherry fruit on the nose and palate. Juicy, textured slightly woody tannins, charcuterie, fleshy cherry fruit, touches of vanilla, caramel, a little warm on the finish. Not really showing any obvious tertiary notes. S'okay.

  • Coravin fun - Randoms (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Polished oak, caramel, sweet spice, a little cream, under this a little cherry and meaty, charcuterie notes. Also a slight herbaceous notes. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, fleshy, cherry and polished oak, tannins are talc textured, drying but more in a supporting role, alcohol warmth intrudes on the finish. Hmm

  • From Coravin. Medium plus intensity aromas of cream, polished oak over riper red cherry and sweet spice, a little tobacco and earthy clay. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, bolder than the 2014, the fruit a little more worked though and a touch of bitterness here as well. Alcohol warmth is well integrated as are the drying, slightly chalky tannins. Long. Okay.
