  • Bright greenish color. Very classic nose with fine touches of peach, green apples, and a very chalky streak. Medium to full bodied attack, fine tones of citrus and green apples on the mid palate. Very good acidity leads to a bright finish, long aftertaste with lots of chalk. A beautiful, classic Chablis in its prime. Drink now, or keep for 10 years without any problem.

  • Perfectly aged now, something the beautiful, slightly aged color hints at. A fine fruity nose at first with green apples, lemons, and a sweeter note reminiscent of pear. After a while, chalky tones supplements the fruit, and a vanilla tone is added to it all. Medium to full bodied attack, sweet fruit - pear - up front. On the mid-palate the wine closes in, becomes more vivid with green apple and citrus tones. This freshness follows through to the aftertaste. The finish is long, and somewhat sweet and vanilla-like, but the freshness still dominates. At its peak now, but will develop well for at least a decade.

  • Still very young color, verging on green with slight straw color. Classi - and very young! - nose dominated by green apples, citrus, a hint of freshly cut grass, and that wonderful note of chalk and salt sea. After a while in the glass, tones of oak vanilla become more present. Medium to full bodied attack, higly concentrated fruit in the vein of green apples and lime at the front and at the mid palate. Very intense finish with high concentration of fruit (green apples) finely balanced by high acidity. Long, very long. Some dry oak tones come a bit disturbing on the finish, leaving an impression of a bit too heavily oaked wine. Still an adolescent, so keep for at least five years and hope for the oak to integrate somewhat better.

  • This is just incredibly good at the moment. Still clear straw color with an intense green, brilliant streak. The nose is at first dominated by vanilla and coco - almost a bit "new world" - but these notes wane after some time in the glass, giving room for more classic aromas of green apples, lime, and that chalky feeling. Full bodied attack, lots of lime, lemon, green apples, but also some hints of vanilla and coco that I do not remember from earlier tasting of this wine. Very fine balance between sweet fruit and acidity, and a fine chalky, almost dusty finish, somewhat drying out. The aftertaste could have been much better with less oak because the fruit and the balance in this wine is so good in itself. A wine for white fish with a butter sauce. Perfectly mature now, but will keep for many years although I fear that the oak-tones will get more present over time. So; enjoy now if you have any bottles left.

  • Clear golden with green brilliant tones. Classic nose first dominated by green apples with hints of sweeter, red apples. Underneath there is those tones of chalk, sea and salt, giving a dry impression. Medium to full bodied attack, lots of green apple fruit in the first part of the tasting curve, then a citrusy acidity kicks in together with a salty tone, culminating in a dry, chalky and citrusy finish that stretches out for almost a minute. This wine is still an adolescent, the mineral tones has only started to emerge, so give it more time. Still a beauty to drink now. Will keep for at least a decade. This confirms my impression that 2017 is one of the top vintages in Chablis in this decade, at least if one admires the more classic style.
