Lovely wine with excellent nose, full mouthfeel and finish. Nose of toasted almond paste, brioche, vanilla bean, and limestone. Creamy, acidic palate coating. Mouth smacking. Delicious sauvignon blanc!

This is more viscous and pungent than when I tasted it 18 months ago (8/19 - 94 points), but it's still plenty good, especially after an hour or so of air. Tonight, I preferred an Accendo 2018 SB, which had more purity and freshness. More generally, I prefer the energy of the Lillie in its youth, but - even four years out - it's still a worthy and tasty wine.
Light yellow in color and full(er) in body, the wine offers aromas of wet grass, gooseberry, and saline. The flavors range from tart (e.g., grapefruit, green apple) to full (e.g., brioche, almond), with a creamy and lively finish that has a more coarse and sour cut than a few years ago. 14% alcohol. If you enjoy the more oily and less fruity SB (as I sometimes do), take your time; otherwise, drink in next year or so.

This lively and creamy Sauvignon Blanc is drinking beautifully right now, with a density and viscosity that are hard to resist. Light yellow in color, medium in body, nose of green apple, wet grass, and salt water. While the nose is pungent, the tastes are soft, though layered. Tastes of lemon, pear, orange marmalade, and gooseberry, with a round, almost oily finish that still tastes fresh. 14% alcohol. Decant an hour.
Although this can age a year or two, its youthful exuberance, powerful aromas, and silky texture make this one of my favorite Lillies. To be sure, this is not as lean or grassy as many Sauvignon Blancs (because it both sees about eight months of oak and draws from at least some older vines), but it's a tasty wine with real character.

Chef Jacques Table - Larkmead wine dinner (L'Auberge Chez Francois, Great Falls VA): With an excellent Arctic char course. I've always really enjoyed the Lillie when I've had a chance to try it. Just can't get past the price. Not sure but this has to see a reasonable amount of oak. I generally prefer steely crisp SB's but this is one that can round this off a bit and still appeal to me. Lemon, white peach, nice floral nose.

Crisp, classic Napa Sauvignon Blanc with a touch grassy. Some prominent oak. Good acid.
