This little unassuming gem has been laying in my cellar since 1999. Opened it up for a thanksgiving themed party this weekend. Time has worked magic on this one. Clear rim with a brown disc surrounding a red heart. Just a touch cloudy. Copious sediment. Nose of bright flowers and candied cherries with just a whiff of madeira caramel. Flavors of tar, leather, cherry, earth and cedar all integrated flawlessly; Somehwhat reminded me of a middle aged barolo. Plenty of acid and velvety tannin left to round off the fruit. Wine help up for several hours as it was consumed.
