  • Pulled this bottle out of the vinotemp. Consumed at the Sky Room in Long Beach, CA with their glasses - Spiegelau. The wine showed excellently focused Chardonnay fruit that was still fresh, but not aggresive. Showed the traditional Avize fruit and the finely focused Agrapart terrior. I would characterize the Grand Cru fruit as "round", barely sweet, citrus notes, with most of the acidity having been nicely subsumed into the fruit, but with just enough left to sharpen the fruit. Not at all flabby. There was an appealing depth and complexity and a medium long finish, with very pleasant yeasty, biscuity flavors predominating in the end. The wine seemed to be ready to drink and I would not hold much longer. A truly delicious Champagne that paired extremely well with the fresh oysters and Ceaser salad. Considering I originally paid $45 at The Wine Country in Signal Hill, Ca, Agrapart never ceases to amaze.
