A decent, easy drinking Chardonnay. Not too much oak, goes well with food. Good to have on hand for everyday consumption or to serve to a crowd that's easy to please.

Linda and I had a blind taste test with Charles Shaw 2006 Chardonay. The Benziger had a better nose, better legs, deeper yellow color, cleaner citrus taste and a little more complex in the taste and a longer finish. But between the two, one costing $2.99 and the other $11.00, the difference was not worth three times the amount.

Vanilla oak on the nose with a slightly sweet, creamy palate and oak spice on the finish.
