Bold Sangiovese that spent 24 months in French oak barrels, followed by 100 months in bottle in the winery cellar before release.
Frankly, it was not my cup of tea. Tannin was overwhelming but fruits had mostly dissipated and acidity weakened. Not sure if it would improve by aging further in the cellar due to the tannin imbalance.

Slightly widened, lightist rim, flat Coke color. Still quite dark core.
High toned aromatics. Honestly, quite warm/alcoholic to sniff as well. Ripe red fruit, compote, spicy, violet, graphite or granite.
Mouth staining, dusty, drying tannin. Medium body and med + acid. Dry. Fruits are starting to get stale or showing its dullness, i.e. not fresh - dry fig, blueberry, and some jammy fruit. Vanilla spices, coca leaf, sundried tomato with a finish on metalic, woodsy, smoky, cinnamony notes.
10th anniversary release of this classic Tuscan red. I like that it's lean. I like that it's given me the pure sangiovese experience. If you crack it up now, please give this at least one hour to breathe otherwise it might be a little too edgy. But ideally, I should say that this is capable of becoming even better. See you again in 2025? 91+

Day 1 - Garnet colour. Pronounced nose. Plenty of deep cherry with developed leafy notes. On palate - delicious. A deep cherry core plus meat, leaf. Full-bodied and long finish with a touch of meat. Tastes developed.
Day 2 - Nose not showing as much vibrancy but still alive with lots of tertiary at the fore. Much more tertiary coming through, lacking the deep cherry of yesterday. Still delicious but falling apart a little. Lots of leaf on finish. Tannins and alcohol more obvious today. Still great.
