It was right in the pocket, hitting its straps as soon as it was poured. What a lovely delicate nose of white flowers, white peach and spice. In the mouth it was silky and voluminous. It had excellent depth but was not forced. There was some butter and plenty of mineral and citrus to the long tail.

A solid core of yellow citrus is encompassed by some white stone and vanilla notes. Medium weighted and a bit primary, but still kicking out the usual succulent core that comes from the Mikulski label. Finishes tasty and round.
Less of a punchy and zesty demeanor than the 2016, which I currently prefer for its elevated verve by comparison. Hold this 2017 for a couple of years so it can fill out more. 94+ points.

3 days in Napa: Arkenstone, Memento Mori, Maxem, The French Laundry, Christopher Tynan, Kinsman, Harlan, Vice Versa, Accendo, Fairchild, Macdonald, and a truckload of others (Napa): At the French Laundry. A solid producer from a solid site makes for a worthy Meursault and a perfect complement to the food. Succulent yellow citrus, spritely green, yellow, and white stone fruit, chalk, and hints of tangy unripe orange, this Mikulski delivers on multiple fronts and pleases for its fuller ride along the palate but with all the acidic grip and tension one would expect from a 1er cru from this address.
