  This bottling quite simply demolishes the other two from the same vintage we have tasted recently (Chambolle 1er cru and Beauxmonts). It is also at least on par with the Madonna delle Grazie.
  Medium ruby in color, the wine shows knock out nose of juniper, pine needles, cigar box, black cherries, cassis and hints of smoke. On the palate you also get a bunch of black cherries, wet earth, pipe tobacco and currants.
  What is truly amazing is the feeling of sweetness and ripeness paired with the outstanding dryness and elegance. The fruit is perfectly ripe yet totally cool, - a thing that I can find only in the best of the best of french wines.
  This is outstanding now, but tremendous in the years to come.
