Wide open, expressive and drinking so well today. Aromas of tar, roses, menthol, cherry and spruce. It has good flesh and complexity in the mouth, with a concentrated core and long, savoury finish.
A rich and heady scent of floral spice and ripe, dark fruits. It is deep and full, flecked with iron and possessing perfectly ripe tannins. It is a big wine but by no means heavy. Flavours build and linger for a long time. Lovely balance.

Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri Tasting (Bridgeport Arts Center - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Rich start with floral and mint hints, then ripeness dominates in the middle. Good overall. Accessible already now, but still better to cellar a few more years. Due bicchieri.

Walk around tasting. 2/5 wines of Paolo Manzone. Even nicer than the 2014, very pleasant Barolo which is very drinkable already at this young age!
