Very pleasant, lighter style Cabernet Sauvignon. Med (+) ruby. Clean, med (+) nose of tart black fruit, ripe red fruit, with just a hint of oak from 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks. Dry, with nice, subtle fruit, consistent with the nose. Med to med (+) acidity, med tannins and med alcohol (12.5%). It is very nicely balanced, smooth and easy-drinking at 3 years. Fine by itself and quite food-friendly. Drink now and over the next few years. Very solid QPR.

Taste Wines by the "Small Vineyards" Import Co. (San Diego Wine Co.): Commonly, 100% C.S. from 15-20 yr old vines planted 4,600 vines/ha in gravelly soils; "Fermentation in s/s vats. Maceration of skins 15 days." Aged 12 mos in "old" Slavonian oak. ~ 12.5% ABV, 0.9 g/L R.S., & 5.2 g/L T.A.; ~ 8,333 cases
N: FRAGRANT cherries with pyrazines underneath; SEEMS ripe, but with a sensation of acidity? Intensity lurking
P: Med body; NICE, ALMOST swtish frt with notes of pyrazines met by some astringent pucker which morphs into a LONG, balanced finish with a bitter/swtness to the dusty tannins. NEEDS/deserves through '19, then drinking for 3 yrs more. My EXC-, arguably more for the QPR of this vendor's $11.99, for which I saw no other sources currently listed on wine-searcher.

Crimson colour. Berry aromas with some cigar box as well. Quite light-bodied, with blackcurrant and refined use of oak. Good food wine.
