Nose shows ripe dark fruit; plum, blackberry, and black current, with toasted oak and butterscotch plus charcoal and mineral notes. The palate starts medium bodied with dark forest fruit leading to some meatiness mid palate and a firm kick of tannins and acid on the finish. Maybe a touch too hot and oaky in the finish but overall a nice wine for the 16? price tag. Still quite youthful for the super hot '03 vintage. This wine could probably go another five years, maybe more. Drink 2013-2018.

Deep red colour with little sign of ageing. On nose, plenty of big black fruits confirming ripeness of 03. Ripe fruits on palette backed by a meatiness uncharateristic of Bordeaux, but underlying pencil-shaving notes. Well structured, firm tannins and good acids. Drinking fine now but would benefit from further ageing.

From 375. Moderate maturity, but losing stability, so drink up. Blackberry fruit, medium body, pretty ho-hum Cab.

Purchased this bottle in St. Pierre et Miquelon about five years ago. It was exceptional and perfectly aged.
