Tonight’s showing is a vindication of my October note that I forgot I wrote. This is amazing stuff. The freshness of the fruit - the spritely acids and tannins suspend this wine on a high wire from where it does not fall. Luminous translucent ruby - a veritable 3D poster for winelovers - stylish label, gorgeous appearance in the glass, immediate whistle clean aromas of perfectly ripened sweet fresh red raspberries, titillating mouthfeel, and crystalline clean finish of nearly invisible yet sneakily firm powdery fine tannins. Really dig this.

Fresh floral raspberry orange oil nose - garrigue too - alcoholic w spicy tannins and tart acids - nice wine that while built well I think I will devour my six pack on the younger side as I see no reason to wait - its charms are in balanced evidence now without the need to consider what it might become.

100% Grenache and insanely fragrant with cherry, cedar, forest floor and spice scents that lead to dark fruit and white pepper flavors that linger on the long drying finish.

During a year end dinner. We tried this as we heard that they make a Rayas style CdP. While it was not evident from an aromatic point of view, since the wines were too young, we could confirm that there is airiness in these wines like you see with Rayas. The 2017 Guigasse, 93pt, was the lightest, showing lots of ripe red fruit with some garrigue, a bit simple a this stage but with good potential. The 2017 Le Grand Pin had more structure, some dark fruits as well and was the favorite at the table 95pt.

Dinner with Florentino Grangeon, Co owner of Cristia/Theodoric (La Fete): This is a touch better than La Guigasse, liquorice, high alcohol, silky full tannins, hint of minerality and touch of rose.
