A vibrant and punchy nose of cherry, blueberry, rose petal and ginger spice. The palate is full and fleshy, with a core of sweet fruit and good minerally detail. It is velvety and layered and structural elements are moderate yet supportive. Length is good.

Balanced, seamless and incredibly long. The 17'er is showing a touch better than the 16'er at this current stage. Roses, fruit tea, amarena cherries, crushed black pepper, sour blackberry and assorted red berries thrown together with vineyard herbs and Finnish liquorice. Elegant and linear. Very classic Cecile.

Rescue Animal gathering at Jailbreak - all Burgundy (Jailbreak Brewery, Laurel, MD): Tasted blind, medium expressive nose displaying subtle black fruit, stem and earth. Medium concentration, a bit angular and hollow, medium acidity, earthy mineral and a medium long subtle black fruit driven finish. My guess is a minor producer's village to 1er crus Burgundy.

The nose is relatively close at current stage with blackberry and hint of spice. Quite broad with soft mouthfeel, hint of olives. Enjoyable now but should be better in 2-3 years.

Very pretty and well structured with soft cherry and light damp earth notes.
Day 2: almost seems like a different wine with darker berries and truffle notes in abundance.
