Pure dark copper color. The nose shows wet autumn leaves and apricot pie picking up warm cider with air. The palate shows a some RS but is not very viscous. Flavors of peach cobbler with ripe red apple cider on the 2nd night. Somewhat weighty, mostly in the middle with a sweet tart finish. It showed something like a cross between a Sauternes and a Tokaji on the first night where on the 2nd night it showed more like Rieslaner or well aged Riesling. A bit more acid would pick this up a bit more but it drinks pretty well. Would be a nice foil for stronger hot spicy foods. No rush.

Wet autumn leaves, copper, baked apples on the nose. Richer more viscous than the last bottle with obvious residual sugar present. Baked red apple palate with some tartness. Could use some complexity on the palate but nice for price. This is clearly not Riesling and is Rieslaner.

No varietal listed but this is most similar to a rieslaner which I had for the fisrt time a couple weeks back. Ripe apples, caramel, wet brown leaves. Little richness or sugar. Not sure what to make of it or how it will age. It could be closed up as it is a 2002.

SFwine double blind night (Kev's pad, San Francisco): Unctuously sweet with low acidity, this tastes like a liquid caramel apple. It is so thick and sweet you can chew it. Pretty cool for what it is, but without more acid this isn't something i could drink more than a couple ounces of.

Feels flabby and oxidised, but I'm not sure if it's flawed or just plain bad.
