Bought for $4 on sale (normally about $7). 13.5% ABV like their Chard. Again, tastes and smells varietally correct and very fruit forward; perfectly good for a cheap wine in my view. Nothing complex about it, but avoids any egregious issues in terms of the taste or mouthfeel.
Color: Short legs, dark purple (typical for Shiraz).
Nose: Plum dominant, with some blackberry. No minerality or herbal secondaries, and doesn't really smell boozy.
Taste: Bit of a short finish, but actually has some decent flavors. Flavor is more blackberry and less plum, although some plum shows up on the initial bite into the mid-palate. Finish is largely a mix of blackberry, but I get some notes of black pepper too, which is varietally correct in my view. Tannins are fairly weak, but are palpable on the finish, which suggests a surprising amount of finesse on the finish for a wine of this price (usually is overwhelming or just a total fruit bomb). Has a bit of a manipulated feel, but there are much worse problems at this price point. Also gets a bit candied as it opens up longer, which I don't love.

A young, cheap table wine Shiraz. Subtle hints of oak and vanilla, but fruity shirazness dominates. Very good value. Very serviceable.

Very fruity and perfect for a simple meal of ribs, pasta, pizza, burgers and more. Plus you cant go wrong at Trader Joes for $2.99 a bottle.

Would not look to buy again. Tasted a little of a pub wine.
