This is my style of Riesling. Bright, not heart burn inducing, acidity. Bone dry, full mouth citrus. Pairs well with simply prepared fish or enjoy with cheese on a sunny day. Outstanding.

Fierce lemon-lime acidity and a touch of effervescence. Whiff of petrol on the nose at first that dissipates quickly. Gunflint, cement. Very tightly coiled right now, should improve a lot with age. How much? No idea. Score: 91+. Relative to expectations: at least one +

4thWednesdays - April Showers (Texas Wine School, Houston, Tx): pale lemon Medium (+) nose of peach pit, lemon, honey, (from George), white flowers, grassy, apple, Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium (-) body, medium (+) intensity and medium (+)finish Balanced - yes Length - yes Intensity - yes Complex - no. Very good quality and worthy of ageing
Guesses: Sauvignon Blanc. I got a grassy and stonefruit element here. Seemed rather sharp and fresh.
Mistakes: The honey call from George should have been a clue and I did not get petroleum at all so I missed the Riesling guess. Sav Bl (others got petrol so they thought it was Riesling) it was Pichler

Tickly mineral palate with some light TDN aromas. Lots of ripe pear, love drinking this.

Citrusy with high acid. Initial notes of petrol and nice minerality
