A wine for Pinot / cool terroir / light wine purists. Expressive nose of farmyard funk, herbs, touch of VA, reminiscent of natural wines, underbrush, red fruit, very aromatic. Light bodied but not thin, intense, pronounced acidity leading to a sappy finish. Not for the beginner palate. The anti thesis of a commercial wine with ripe blue fruit, RS and lots of oak that you find in supermarkets. Love it.

Chinese New Year Celebration at Uncle Joseph's (Woodsville): Pale ruby with violet hue. Aromas mainly of cherry and cranberry, rocket leaves, fennel, and some hay funk, and a bit of grey rocks n iron. Light bodied with zingy acids, and very soft tannins, as well as sour cheery and cranberry flavours, rocket leaves, and iron rocks. Pretty complex at the back

Properly pale; an elegant swish to the bouquet, a hedgerow note; lovely texture, supple, harmonious, lively zip to the fruit; this as a smart attack to its finish. Extended. At its peak. Don’t leave too long.

I like the wine. It is decidedly Jura, light colored, light fruited, strawberry notes, a bit of VA, all in a realtively compact package. I remember the 2013 trois cepages being more expressive than this at about the same maturity, so there was a bit of an expectation gap. Well made, not a great value, but happy to have a few more in the cellar.

Pale (of course) cherry red; delicate , floaty nose, primary - black & red fruits; clean, lacy fruit, with backbone; showy, supple & extended finish. Drink now & next 5 years.
