Medium ruby colour. Good fruit. Mixed red and dark berries, cherry, earth, and intense spice notes, with good acidity, well-integrated tannin, and great persistence. Creamy texture. Riper and sweeter than expected. But well-structured, and very balanced. Even smoother and more complete on day two. Consistent on day three. Highly drinkable! Great wine! Drink or hold.

Cork broke on opening. Earthy, funky, smelly sock nose is off-putting. There's a nice red fruit lift and lots of acidity that quickly fades into light tannins and earth with a lot of floral notes and touch of pepperiness. Can't get past the nose. Perhaps it's flawed as we didn't note this on the last tasting.

Love the barnyard funkadelic nose. Classic Jura with dangerville Volnay touch
Pompous, earth covered, red fruits. The stank comes through to the palate but it gets me going
Drank chilled but was better the warmer it got. Day 2 as good as day 1
