  • Takes about an hour for this to open up at this point. Had with a crab stuffed salmon and the acid profile paired well against the fat of the fish. Now, an hour and a half into it, with no food, it shows nice fruit, solid acid and medium finish. Given the scarcity of QPR burgundy (I paid $29 all in for it), this one far surpasses its friends from California and Oregon in the elegance category. A solid drinker that should be consumed over the next 3-5 years depending on your cellaring conditions.

  • WTSO Premium Wine Club French Wines; 2/15/2023-2/17/2023 (WTSO Zoom): WTSO Premium Wine Club: French Wines
    13% Alcohol & Natural cork
Day 1: An hour of air has done this well. Mushrooms, mild funk, cherry, floral, perfume and spice. Needs some airtime and should develop nicely over 3 days. 90 points
Day 2: Not as good but still solid. Sour cherry, rose petals, perfume, mild spices and strawberry. Just lacks the complexity of day 1. 88 points
Day 2.25: Amazing how wine transforms. Wow with Rose petals, perfume, minerals, stone, mushrooms, dust and red currants. Much better than a little bit ago. 91 points
Day 3: Not nearly as good.
Recommendation: A solid overall value from WTSO.
