  • Prior bottle was 13 months ago and the wine has improved in that time, almost exactly along the lines I'd hoped. Apple, pear and other white orchard fruit notes on the nose with just a light touch of oak/malo. Medium bodied with apple and pear upfront, adding depth through the middle along with some deeper, richer notes of white apple and light, white peach. The mid-body is noticeably more open than in my prior bottle and was also better balanced with the structural components that came behind. Citrus, acidity and other tart notes on the back combined with the fruit in a much more complete fashion than in my prior bottle. This improved integration lead to overall better balance throughout and showed the fruit to its best advantage. The wines from this vineyard site often take a bit more patience, but are well worth the wait. Next bottle will be June/July 2023 as I expect this wine should continue to improve along these lines and remain in a good drinking window for several more years.

  • Pear, lemon and other citrus notes and malo qualities on the nose. Medium bodied and still quite young (as is typical for this vineyard site) showing soft and open mixed white orchard fruit notes upfront. Adds depth through the middle along with more distinct apple and lemon notes. Tart citrus and whitefruit on the backside along with tannins and acidity. Good amount of structure now, but coupled with where the fruit is today, this promises additional complexity as well as integration going forward. As it warms, it showed improved balance. Overall, this is still on the young side but as I have a good number of bottles, wanted to get a read on where things stood. I expect the fruit to gain complexity and definition and the wine as a whole to show improved balance with time. This wine has good potential and is worth holding. Next bottle for me, March or June 2022.

  • Medium yellow, thin watery rim

Nose is low/medium intense with medium complexity. Aromas of vanilla, hazels, mandel, red apples, minerals, herbs, ripe fruit, toast, butter, caramell/toffee

Palate is dry with medium+ acidity, medium+ length. Medium alcohol. Well structured wine, with a good finnish. Aromas like the nose. Driven by the oak in form of vanilla toffee and toast. In a very

Great wine, with a great balance. +91p. Looking forward to see this wine develop. 5-8 years and probably even more!

  • Hoping for more. This was ok for a mid-week wine, but pretty simple. Yellow apple and a kiss of lemon. Too much malo/not enough acid for my taste. You can get some very nice Chablis for the same price.
