This wine really wowed me with it's smoke, uplifting red fruit notes, sous bois for days, a medicinal note that was actually interesting, spices, fresh tilled earth, moss with so much balance and finesse. Blind would have guessed Corton.

Interesting, in that it features a healthy whack of brett, along with copious sous-bois and distinctive terroir, all of which make it difficult to pin this as a New World wine. Tasted it alongside a 1999 Willakenzie Pinot Meunier, my preference, and the two wines side-by-side made for a unique experience.
