It’s impossible to inhale this aroma and not laugh a little. Familiar and strange, like worn shoes on mushrooms. Adjusting comes in stages. First, an involuntary series of images: apricots and pepper; aged St. Estephe; no wait, Pinot Fin. Gorgeous layers of paint made from fallen orchard fruit. What fruits? All of them, from figs to apples, from peaches to almonds. Rigid blooms of culinary whip-grass, chocolate. A salted bronze glaze of rapidly moving botanical treasure. A mouthful is resin tannic and draws into itself gestures of sunset fruit while leaving dusty streaks of milled poppy, cask, found seeds, roots and aromatic tree bark. Back to the nose: black cherry, one airborne droplet of grapefruit zest, walnuts and ash. Tasted alongside a 2013, which was released after 2014.

Hahaha...this is an "interesting" wine! Strikingly amber colored. Smells much more secondary/older than its age. Tastes nutty, saline, and like tart green apples. Really tasty.

2 month on skins, 4 yrs in a barrel. High acid, as expected from Ribolla, raw pressed skin taste. Hint of wood, nutty. Flowery aroma, acacia.
