This has really blossomed and improved since last tasting 15 months ago. Gritty, funky, oily nose and texture is now giving way to pronounced dark fruit. We really enjoyed this. Drink 2023-2028. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 93.

Concur with JKLKISS review below. The wine was hard in showing all that it could and took a few hours to reveal a very elegant and almost La Mouline like perfume. The fact that this wine can't call itself Cote Rotie but is in shouting distance of the appellation made by a real master in a family of winemakers is really all I should say. This is worthy of seeking out for value and if you have the patience, will reward you with an amazing benchmark of what syrah in a cooler climate can achieve. Olive, bbq, roasted pork and subtle smoke like from a good old fashioned are omnipresent in this baby when she finally starts to sing! Bravo.

Still primary and shut down, even after 5+ hours of air. Good acidic backbone with thick tannins, but hard to discern any fruit delineation. Best with food. Drink 2023-2030. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 89.

Drinking well now. Opens up nicely with a little time in the glass.

Earthy and leathery with soft tannins. Certainly not a California Syrah. The acidity gives it nice aging potential. At least 5-10 yrs
