All sour cherries, dark cherries, red cherries… but with a seriously savoury edge and a killer rose finish. Good clean acidity, good bottle for the table (we had it with roast venison).
Very good, and good to go right now (though given it's pedigree, it will undoubtedly live and develop for many more years) .

Decanted for several hours which helped to smoothen the tannins. Nice floral scent, medium bodied, but it doesn‘t fully click. Will try next bottle in a year.

La Festa del Barolo: A Taste of Verduno (Locanda Verde): Again get a bit of that hand soap note. Can definitely see the connection across the wines with the floral style and lighter bodied. There’s this interesting taste after it’s had a bit of time in the glass that I can best describe as almost a cotton candy. Kindof a sweetness to it. Some fruit. Some floral notes. It drinks well. Young, but expressive. Was a pnp served a bit cooler per the Galloni way.

Strong tobacco note with cherry, spice, citrus oil, and pine tar. Drinks better on the second day as more fruit peeks though the tannin, but this will probably be better opened in 3-5 years.

Opened an hour before first pour and decanted. Ruby red, light viscosity, red fruits, leather, tobacco. Tannins are softening. Enjoyed with a ribeye (prime) steak salad with Gorgonzola and candies pecans. Girlfriend described a sense of warm flannel in the throat.
