Burgundy Masterclass with Robert Joseph (AWC Wine Academy, Marylebone): A bit sweaty on the nose, I thought, sharp, tannic. Lots of substance, but not much charm. Others were more keen.

Clos Vougeot Masterclass, with James Handford MW (Handford Wines, London): Lots of ripe fruit here, cassis, spicy and to be honest a touch overdone and out of balance. Lots of spice and fruit on the palate too and much like the 2003s that followed not a wine that one can have more than a glass as the sweetness becomes too much. 88
