Tasted blind. Medium yellow with a golden hue. The nose is medium (+) in intensity, with lemon, stone fruit and some oak-induced toast and butter, with a noticeable note of French oak. The palate is dry, rich, smooth, with medium (+) acidity and medium (+) alcohol (14%). This is rich, full-bodied yet nervy expression of Viognier, with medium (+) flavor intensity and great length. It is drinking really well and has the structure to go for several years. Actually better than the 2016 Guigal Condrieu, which costs considerably more.

Pear and a little smokiness on the nose. Nice fruit, but a little too much oak for my taste.

This is the best wine I've had from Texas, and one of the better Viogniers in the USA. Great mineralogy and citrus notes.
