90 minute decant. Deep magenta color. Plum, tree bark, cassis, and red apple peel. Smooth, dry, slightly creamy palate. Full, lower intensity tannins on the longish finish.
After four hours in the decanter, raspberry, tangerine, and peppered cracker notes took over. This is a solid Burgundy-leaning Pinot (like many from Oregon).

Winery visit. Exotic aromas of red fig, pomegranate & date fruit, allspice, nutmeg, mushroom and black tea. Seamless & complex palate with beautifully integrated fine structure and great length. WOTF.

Followed over several hours. This was a heavily structured wine that was rather closed. Nose rather shy, black fruited with some coaxing. Palate is dense and concentrated, with rather imposing tannins for Pinot. Darker fruit profile. Never really came around even after a few hours. Best to hold this and let it unwind. Has plenty of upside. Much better on night 2. Opened up some with some elegant Nuc ant notable as contrast to the considerable structure. Bumped a point but still best to hold.

Willamette Valley 2022; 4/8/2022-4/9/2022: Red fruit, baking spice. Awesome on palate. Fruit comes through. Delicious.
