Nice wine with lots of potential - consumed over 2 nights and was still getting better as I finished it. Between Spatlese and Auslese, it's mildly sweet, with good balancing minerality, fantastic aromatic complexity. I can easily see 93-94 in 5+ years...

My first Moelleux and really enjoyed it. On first tasting, I find myself wanting to compare it to Riesling, and while it does have an Auslese type sweetness it is very much its own thing. Yum!!
On day 1, the nose is apple, peach, and very floral. On the palate, there is a honeyed acidity, very rich. The sweetness and acidity are well balanced. Day 2, more stone fruits, heavy on pear with a peach accent, and a honey glaze.
I drank it before and during my meal.

This was a tad too sweet when we first opened it and then let it open for 30-45 minutes as it softened. Still probably not in its best drinking window and a little too rich to drink on its own. Lots of melon (canteloipe?) on the palate and toward the end of the bottle the nose was subtle hints of banana. A rich honeyed wine and I want to acquire a case and lay it down for another 5-6 years at this price point to see what it is like then.

Soft, vapid canteloupe-y fruit, too sweet.
