Oak aged Sauvignon Blanc. Unlike some other examples in California, I felt the oak actually improved this SB, adding richness and texture without the oakey notes that I find out of place in Sauv Blanc. This was bright and fresh with pleasing tropical and white orchard fruit and a subtle herbaciousness with some time in the glass. Very enjoyable and mid weight Sauvignon Blanc.

Sourced from three different Happy Canyon vineyards (Grassini, Vogelzang and Grimm's Bluff) at the eastern end of the Santa Ynez Valley, this straw-colored wine is impressive from start to finish. Comprised of 100% lees-aged Sauvignon Blanc that was fermented in neutral French oak (73%) and stainless steel (27%), it is a vibrant, light-bodied offering that delivers a luscious payload of lime zest, white peaches, honeydew and jasmine. With seamless alcohol (14.2%) and only a tiny dollop of oak, it retains excellent mid-palate density and finishes with good length. Enjoy this delicious white with grilled halibut, sashimi or similar light fare (preferably in its youth). Drink now-2022.

A good Sauvignon Blanc from the central coast with pear and citrus, a bit less green and grassy than New Zealand SB. SB from SB what's not to like. My go to and my wife likes it as well. A bit of herb and toast on the finish.

Pale canary a slight chartreuse tint. Herb/grass dominated nose with a little over ripe tropical fruit. Medium acidity - unripe mango, lemongrass, pear skin, chamomile tea.

A balanced and complex Sauv Blanc. Rich stone fruit with mellon and a shadow of lime. Long finish and great richness on the tongue. A great white wine.
