  • Very nice Riesling, not too sweet, nice level of acidity, lots of fruit comes out. Drank with friends with wood fired pizza with goat cheese and spinach. Perfect pairing.

  • I enjoyed this Riesling because it is not overly sweet. My wife and our guests loved it. I still have a couple more bottles and look forward to buying more.

  • As always - I remind anyone who reads my notes: I am not a wine connoisseur and my rating has nothing to do with RP/WC parameters - it's all me and how much I like the wine.

One more delightful vintage of Katy's Riesling! Crisp, light, fruity - but not a sweet Riesling. I'd call this off-dry, leaning slightly toward semi-sweet.
First evening, I paired it with TJ's Spatchcocked Chicken which is marinated (but not cooked) in a lemon herb mixture and is a favorite - one of very few 'prepared' foods I buy. Wine was slightly tart, slightly acidic, not much fruit.
Second evening, paired with sauteed shrimp (butter, garlic, basil) and a bit of wine, served over sauteed voodles (my 'take' on Carol Sarna's "zoodles" - these were a variety of veggies - summer squash, zucchini, carrots). Very tasty - no tartness detected, but definitely some fruits - along the lines of green apple, bosc pear.
Last night, I emptied the bottle after dinner - remembering that Katy and others strongly recommend cheese as a pairing. So - a bit of TJ's Unexpected Cheddar and a bit of Pecorino. Superb with the UC, OK with the Pecorino. I rarely just sit & sip, so I'm glad I remembered to try this.
Thank you, Katy, for the 4th year - can you believe it? - of your lovely Riesling.
