This was a weird wine. Upon opening at 48 degrees F, all I got were sour acidity and overbearing pear flavors. (Yes, I keep my white fridge set cold.) It really was not very pleasant. After a decant and warming up, some tart green apple, peach, and lemon notes showed up to the party, along with a restrained touch of oak. Body is medium at most. If I didn’t know where it was from, I could have called this quite underripe. But apparently it’s fairly characteristic of the Gingin clone they use. Didn’t love it.

Light gold color. Medium nose, ripe aromas with vanilla, apple pie and tangerine. Medium body, very lemony, green apple with some oaky flavours. Crisp medium length. Taste was Actually quite different from the nose that had more complexity. Bit disappointed.

This wine is very good and outstanding for under $20. It offers intense lemon and minerals with a hint of white peach and a deft touch of new oak. Waves of flavor, albeit all lean and mean. Classy stuff.

Slo-oxed for 15 minutes, chilled. Better as the wine opened and warmed. Green apple, minerality and a touch of oak on the nose. On the medium bodied palate were the same green apple and minerality, along with some pear and lemon, with increasing oak as the wine warmed, and a vibrant acidity that carries through the finish. Should hold for several years.
