You are often in for surprises when opening a bottle from Pierre Bouree and this was a really positive experience. Youthful, clean, racy, transparent, excellent acidity and just at the time when the sweetness is appearing. Not yet any trace of tertiary flavours. Red berries were dominating the palate. Complexity ok, but the real driver was the clean minerality which made this highly enjoyable.

Quite pretty and significantly better than my last bottle. This time the wine showed pretty sweet reddish fruits on the nose, with florality and some damp earth. On the palate this is smooth and mostly resolved; perhaps a bit light for a Gevrey but quite pleasing, with the sweet light red fruits that were previewed on the nose, and some slightly green hints of pyrazine/herbal spiciness on the finish. Overall very enjoyable as a burg with good typicity and transparency, and delivering the things that I drink red burgundy for.

A disappointing wine - feels older than it should - verging on over the hill already. Color is orange-red, heavy bricking. Nose shows mineral smoke and some pretty floral fruit, as well as savory olive in an oxidative package. Palate is also savory, with tart fruits, iron, and good acidity. A light style and silky texture make this enjoyable and not without some beauty, but this bottle feels way older than it should at the 12 yr mark. 86

Nice nose on red fruits, wine very light, much too short.
