  • Opened last night. Healthy deep yellow color. Very oily. Lovely lemon oil in the nose, and a note of marmalade. Waxy, pretty. Really excellent in the mouth, covers the entire surface with perfectly balanced fruit, acid and oak. At once creamy and feisty with subtle citrus notes. Probably my fave of the Premier Crus from Piuze, a producer I really like, right down to his Terroir wines. 5-13-16-8: 92/100.

  • This was opened last night, and finished the next. Medium golden-yellow, with fat legs. Excellent stony/apple fruit in the nose shows nicely, even at this early drinking age. Limestone and oyster shells. Hints of lemon curd and smoke. Bodes well for the future. Excellent definition to the flavors, with good acid but also showing a creamy quality, very broad across the palate. Excellent balance. Very clean finish. 5-12-17-9: 93/100.

  • Nose: The nose is well balanced and aromatic, filled with apples, pears, peaches, lemon curds, vanilla beans, minerals, flint, white florals, and oyster shells.

Taste: The feel is medium/full bodied with crisp, high acidity. The acidity has a nice bit of sting with well balanced tones of apples, pears, lemon curds, vanilla beans, minerals, white florals, and oyster shells.

Overall: This Is a gorgeous, young Chablis Premier Cru. It shows off great balance and depth across the nose and palate with an irresistible freshness. This needs about an hour to fully open up and could benefit from a few years of aging.
