Notes after 4 hours in decanter. Brownish-ruby color, about 60% opaque, no sediment. Profound nose of pipe tobacco, lavender and other floral aspects, paint and perfume. Tannic, acidic, but beautiful . This is just a baby and I suggest waiting another few years unless you have more than a few. It's still a gorgeous drink if you want to follow it over a day or two. 5+13+18+8= 94

Hout en tabak, hoog in tannine. mooie wijn, maar wellicht nog enige jaren wachten. We willen hem drinken met mijn verjaardagsdiner. Decanteren vooralsnog een must.

My first time tasting a DCC Brunello, and I'm not impressed. I decanted my wine, and let it breathe for three hours. The 2016 DCC Brunello tastes of dried Cherry, and Tobacco. The wine is very earthy. I sipped it over three evenings and I did not detect any improvement. Is it worth $60 a bottle? No Signore!

One of the best vintage for Brunello. Pronounced nose intensity with notes of black fruits, spices, blackcurrant.

Plums, dried cranberries, dark cherries, mocha/chocolate, licorice, tobacco and wood spice, some leather and turned earth.
